Common name: Buttonbush.
Voucher: Kostadinov 152, 188, (URV) Brief description: A shrub 1-3 m to a small tree. Leaves are ovate-oblong or lance-oblong, simple, opposite or in whorls of 3, entire, pinnately veined, glabrous to soft hairy, margins entire. Flowers are perfect, white, in dense, globose heads on peduncles. Fruits are obconic, glandular, and split into indehiscent nutlets. Campus data: Rare on campus, on the edges of Westhampton Lake. About three individuals encountered.
