Brief description: A slender, glabrous, much-branched polygamo-dioecious shrub to 3 m. Leaves are elliptic to oblong-obovate, simple, alternate, entire, pinnately veined, margins entire to serrate-toothed on upper half. Flowers are mostly unisexual, white, 6-10 in terminal racemes. Fruits are a 5-angled cap. 

Campus data: Very rare on campus. One individual encountered in the wild
