Common name: Honey-locust.

Brief description: A large polygamous tree. Leaves are alternate and  pinnately or bipinnately compound; leaflets are small, entire, oblong-lanceolate, margins entire to obscurely crenate-toothed. Flowers are inconspicuous, pistillate or perfect, in racemes. Fruits are pods. 

Campus data: Very rare on campus. Three individuals cultivated, with some young seedlings around. Some wild plants were encountered as well.
