Common name: Silver-bell tree (generic).
Voucher: Kostadinov 028, (URV) Brief description: A shrub or small tree to 10 m with dark gray to black bark. Leaves are oblong or elliptic to oblong-obovate, simple, alternate, entire, pinnately veined, margins finely serrulate. Flowers are perfect, white, in umbel-like axillary clusters of 2-5, on pedicels; the corolla is broadly campanulate. Fruits are distinctly 4-winged, indehiscent and dry. Campus data: Rarely cultivated on campus. Three individuals encountered.
