Common name: Fiery thorn. Everlasting thorn.

Brief description: A nearly evergreen shrub to 2 m with the young parts grayish-pubescent. Leaves are narrowly elliptic, simple, alternate, entire, pinnately veined, margins finely crenate-serrate. Flowers are perfect, white, in many-flowered corymbs. Fruits are bright red, subglobose, with 5 nutlets.
