Brief description: A prickly, cultivated shrub. Leaves are odd-pinnately compound, alternate; leaflets are elliptic, entire, pinnately veined, margins serrate-toothed. Flowers are perfect, showy, terminal, large, white, very fragrant, with multiple parts. Fruits are a bony achene.
Campus data: Rarely cultivated on campus. Several shrubs were
encountered in one place.
