Introduction

Today you will begin work on an interactive group project where you
explore life in Colonial America. You will be divided up into small
groups where each person has their own unique role. Within your group,
you will research different aspects of life in the different colonies:
Mid-Atlantic (or Middle), Southern and New England.

Life in Colonial America was an exciting time in American history. You
will compare and contrast life in the different colonies. Your goal will
be to try and convince a new group of settlers to move to your particular
colony. Within your team, you will look at colonial life through a real
estate agent’s perspective, picking and choosing the most positive points
to show off about your colony. Your sales pitch could mean the end of one
colony’s growth or the beginning of another’s.
