Introduction

This WebQuest has been designed as a tool to bring students to a better understanding of Ancient Greek culture. Students will become knowledgeable about one aspect of Ancient Greek culture by taking on one of four different roles: societal expert, marriage and family counselor, gender investigator, and stage setter.

When completing this WebQuest students will use the Internet as a tool to gather information. They will be using web sites that contain textual information, maps, and authentic images in order to become experts in their assigned fields. They will use the information they find to create an illustrated children's book that tells the story of Cinderella from the Ancient Greek perspective. Before taking on the roles and writing the story, students will read different versions of the Cinderella story from Vietnam, Russia, and Italy.
