Process

Students should be allowed adequate time to begin the initial research of the different versions of Cinderella and the discussion that will follow. Students will be using a majority of their time researching the Internet for their respective roles. Students should be given a generous amount of time for this part of the lesson as some students may not be as familiar as others with using computers and/or the Internet. Finally, the final project, the actual creation of the children's book, will probably require the most time, as students will be collectively integrating all the different pieces of information they have researched for their role. Students should also be given enough time to make their books as creative and interesting as possible. Although the recommended block of time for this project is two school weeks, the time allocated can be modified for students at different levels.
