During the Civil War many soldiers wrote letters to people left at home to tell about life in the War and hardships they endured. Also, soldiers wrote letters home to find out how their families were surviving without them. These letters will be read in the museum to help others understand what a soldier's life was like during the Civil War. You will write two letters, one as a Union soldier and one as a Confederate soldier. Each letter home should be one page and include a picture of each soldier to show what they wore to battle.
