Process

Students must be divided into groups of four before they begin the Colonial America WebQuest. Teachers should consider personality traits, academic strengths and weaknesses of individuals in content areas, and group dynamics when choosing the WebQuest groups. The majority of the materials for the completion of the WebQuest projects should be provided by the teacher.

A sufficient amount of time should be allotted for the completion of this WebQuest.  The time needed to gather information and complete the two projects should span for at least one week.  This is to ensure that students remain engaged and interested in the WebQuest.  Teachers should allow time at the completion of the project for groups to share their journal entries and plays with the rest of the class.
