Letter to Roosevelt Rubric
You will be graded on four categories for this paper:

	Poor	Fair	Excellent
Grammar	A poorly written with 10 or more misspellings and 10 or more grammatical errors.	A well-written paper with 5-9 misspellings and 5-9 grammatical errors.	A well-written paper with 0-4 misspellings and 0-4 grammatical errors.
Historical Accuracy	Historical data is inaccurate and does not represent knowledge of their section of expertise.	Historical data matches their section of expertise, but is missing key themes and points.	All historical data is accurate and matches the assigned expert section.
Content	Does not address the section of expertise, causes, or impact, and does not display an understanding of the material.	Addresses the section of expertise, causes and impact, but displays only a basic understanding of material.	Addresses the section of expertise, causes, and impact with great detail and displays a thorough understanding of material.
Format	Does not meet one page length requirement. Does not follow friendly letter format.	Meets required link but, does not follow the friendly letter format.	Meets the required one page length and follows the friendly letter format.

Use of space-entire board	The student did not use the space given adequately	Student only used a half of the space given or had too many open spaces throughout the mural.	Student effectively used each portion of the mural. The student left no blank spaces.
Historical accuracy	The content on the poster board is not historically accurate.	The content on the poster board only represents a small portion of historical data collected about the Great Depression.	The content on this page is historically accurate.
Creativity	This mural is not creative at all and the students original piece does no add to the overall concept of the mural.	The mural lacks creativity but the original pieces are excellent.	The original pieces are excellent and the mural is very creatively structured.
Original Piece	The original piece was not added or does not accurately depict the conditions of the great depression.	The original piece was added but, did not creatively depict the conditions of the great depression.	The original piece accurately depicts the conditions of the great depression and is also very creative.
