The Process
Before becoming a journalist, you have to read the book Rosa Parks, by Maryann N. Weidt. This book will give background information about the life of Rosa Parks. You will also need to refer to this book for information throughout your Internet journey.
You will be placed in a team of four journalists.
Each journalist will be assigned a specific job.
After accepting your job, print the following worksheets in order to know what questions you will need to answer during your journey through history.

Using the information you have gathered from your research, create a newspaper.
Your newspaper articles will be on the following topics: Rosa Parks and the Civil Rights Movement (one article on each of these topics).
Your newspaper should also include advertisements and pictures from the 1950’s and 1960’s eras.
Each newspaper will be presented to the class.
All newspaper articles created will be put together to design a book that will be donated to your school library.
Good luck on your journey!
