This lesson is geared towards high school English Literature classes at the end of their study of Romeo and Juliet, but could be used for any high school level class covering Shakespeare including, for example, a theater class.  The idea behind this webquest can also easily be transferred to a vast number of Shakespeare's plays.

Prior to beginning this lesson, students will need to have knowledge of the basic themes found in Romeo and Juliet.  Pertinent background knowledge of the time period as covered in an English class is recommended.  Students also need to have basic internet skills such as the ability to following links and use search engines.
