Conclusion
As your group explored the different facets of war, you learned that there are at least two sides to every story. You also learned that war affects everyone, not just soldiers. Hopefully, this WebQuest will have enabled you to look not only at the causes and effects of war, but the faces of war as well. Through your creation of a propaganda poster, you gained an understanding of how easy it can be to influence the thoughts and beliefs of not just one person, but an entire country. The PowerPoint presentation you produced allowed you to compare different country's experiences during war. Finally, the editorial article your group wrote taught you something about the power of the written word. Now that you have examined the most devastating war of the twentieth century, how do you see war evolving in the twenty-first? Do you think that the technology we have so enjoyed today, will come back to haunt us tomorrow? If there is to be a World War III, who do you think would be the major players, would the world ever be the same?
