Spring

In the spring time, days grow longer than they were in the winter, and the temperature begins to increase. Tiny green buds appear on tree branches and flowers burst into bloom. Grass becomes bright green again, after being a dull winter brown. Animals come out of hibernation in the spring.

Clothing for the Spring

In the spring, the weather starts off cooler but then becomes warmer. There is a variety of clothing worn in the spring because of these temperature differences. Sometimes people wear shorts and a t-shirt, while other times they may need pants and a sweat shirt.

Fun in the Spring

There are many fun things to do in the spring, such as flying a kite, gardening, picking flowers, swinging, fishing, jumping rope, and riding bicycles.

Kite Days

A kite, a sky, and a good firm breeze,
And acres of ground away from trees,
And one hundred yards of clean, strong string-
O boy, O boy! I call that Spring!
