Coarse herb or subshrub; leaves alternate, simple, broadly ovate, base cordate, margin toothed, apex acuminate; softly pubescent, trichomes on the lower surface white; inflorescence axillary; sepals pale green; petals bright yellow; stamens numerous, united below; fruit a capsule topped with numerous stigmas.
