Shrub or small tree; leaves opposite, simple, oblong to elliptic, entire; inflorescence a terminal raceme; flowers yellow, senescing to orange or red; sepals with prominent glands; petals clawed (with narrow basal region); fruit a juicy, yellow, edible drupe.
