Tree; leaves alternate, palmately compound; leaflets entire, densely and finely pubescent; flowers small, greenish, in lateral panicles; fruit green or yellow, resembling a small apple, edible.

Listed as an important source of pollen and/or nectar for bees (Souza Novello 1981).
