Celtis iguanea (Jacq.) Sarg.

Semi-lianous shrub or tree, often growing sprawled over or interlaced with other vegetation; shoots somewhat dimorphic, elongate leader shoots bearing shorter laterals; spines present at nodes or subtending flowers and fruits; leaves alternate, distinctly two-ranked, simple, oblong-elliptic entire or toothed, with two prominent basal secondary veins; flowers borne in the axils of short lateral shoots, greenish yellow; fruit a drupe, yellow at maturity.
