Woody liana; stems 4-angled, solid in cross-section; leaves opposite, compound, 2-3 foliolate; leaflet margins entire, base obtuse to rounded; pseudostipules linear-triangular; flowers bilaterally symmetrical, tubular, with 5 loabes, white, with purple markings and yellow throat; fruits elongate, flat, smooth-surfaced.
