Echeandia luteola Cruden (=Echeandia macrocarpa Greenman)

Herbaceous monocot of the forest floor; vegetative stems below ground, bearing a rosette of leaves; leaves linear, elongate, folded at the base, gradually becoming more planar in the distal portion, tapered to an acute apex; flowering stems arising from the center of the rosette and surpassing the leaves; flowers pendant; petals and sepals reflexed; anthers fused.
