Herb;
stems hollow; leaves alternate below, opposite above (among the
cyathia); leaf blade somewhat variable with position but always
relatively broad, cyathophylls more or less orbicular; cyathia
pubescent; appendages well-developed, deeply 2- or 3-lobed.
