woody liana; leaves opposite, simple, elliptic, base obtuse, margin
entire, apex acute, pubescent, the malpighiaceous hairs prominent
and oriented in parallel rows; flowers axillary; sepals green,
with prominent glands; petals clawed, with fringed margin, yellow;
fruit a triple samara.
