Abundant
and weedy herb or subshrub; leaves ovate, base cordate, margin
toothed, apex acute, pubescent; flowers axillary; petals and stamens
yellow; fruits somewhat inflated prior to maturity, ultimately,
the mericarp units flare laterally forming wings; seeds one per
mericarp, surrounded by a minute, elaborately fringed outgrowth
of the fruit wall.
