Leucana leucocephala (Lam.) De Witt

Tree; leaves alternate, twice pinnately compound, even-pinnate; leaflets oblong; inflorescence a pedicellate head-like cluster arising from the leaf axils; flowers white; legume fruits flat, elongate.

Additional images:

The even-bipinnate leaves and peduncled clusters of white flowers of Lysiloma latisiliquum is similar; Leucaena leucocephala, however, can be distinguished by its solitary flower clusters and its straight (not twisted) legume fruits.

Listed as an important source of pollen and/or nectar for bees (Souza Novello 1981, Suarez Molina 1981).
