Mandevilla subsagittata (Ruiz & Pavon) Woodson

Woody, twining liana with white latex; leaves opposite, simple, elliptic, base cordate to subsagittate, apex with prominent drip-tip; flower buds with three distinct zones, the corolla tube covering the ovary region (basal), the remainder of the corolla tube (middle), and the corolla lobes (apical); fruiting dry follicles narrow, periodically enlarged around the seeds; seeds plumose.
