Mimosa bahamensis Benth.

Tree; branchlets spiny and distinctively pale to white; leaves alternate, twice pinnately compound, even-pinnate; leaflets oblong, apex obtuse-rounded; flowers in nearly sessile powderpuff-like groups at the ends of stems; fruit pods with a wing-like fringe, breaking into one-seeded segments.
