Passiflora pedata L.

Liana with axillary tendrils; leaves alternate, pedately compound, essentially glabrous; leaflets elliptic, base acute, margin entire, apex acute; petioles with stalked glands; flowers not seen at Kaxil Kiuic.

On several occasions in December 2005, yellow passion fruits about the size of a plum and possibly produced by this species were found fallen from the canopy. Until these fruits can be found attached to this very distinctive species, attribution of these fruits to Passiflora pedata must remain tentative.
