Herb; leaves opposite, clustered towards the stem apex, simple, ovate-elliptic, base cuneate, margin entire, apex acute; inflorescence a terminal cluster of one-sided spikes; corolla pale purple to white; fruit a 2-lobed capsule covered with minute tubercles.
