Common name: Oriental bittersweet.

Brief description: A dioecious twiner. Leaves are suborbicular to broadly oblong-obovate, simple, alternate, entire, pinnately veined, margins serrate-toothed. Flowers are unisexual, few in small axillary cymes, shorter than the subtending leaves. Fruits are 3-valved, orange, several in a cluster; the seeds enclosed in a fleshy red aril.
