Common name: Knob-styled dogwood.

Brief description: A shrub to 5 m with a tan pith and the old bark fissuring. Leaves are ovate to broadly elliptic, simple, opposite, entire, pinnately veined, margins entire. Flowers are perfect, white, in flat to somewhat rounded cyme. Fruits are a blue drupe with a strongly ridged stone. 

Campus data: Rare in the wild on campus, on the edge of Westhampton Forest.
