Brief description: A spreading evergreen shrub to 5 m; the branchlets are covered with brown scales. Leaves are oval or oblong, simple, alternate, entire, pinnately veined, leathery, silvery and dotted with brown scales beneath, margins entire and wavy. Flowers are perfect, silvery, solitary or axillarilly clustered. Fruits are red and drupe-like. 

Campus data: Rarely in the wild on campus, and also rarely cultivated. About ten individuals encountered.
