Common name: Black huckleberry.

Brief description: A shrub to 1 m. Leaves are elliptic to oblong or oblanceolate, simple, alternate, entire, pinnately veined, glandular on both surfaces, margins entire. Flowers are perfect, in short racemes. Fruits are a black, fleshy berry with 10 nutlets. 

Campus data: Rarely on campus, as undergrowth of Westhampton Forest.
