Brief description: A small to medium-sized, glabrous tree. Leaves are ovate or broader, simple, alternate, entire, pinnately veined, margins crenate-toothed. Flowers are perfect, white, very conspicuously fragrant, in corymbs. Fruits are a pome; the flesh contains stone or grit cells.
