Common name: Grape (generic).

Brief description: (Generic description of Vitis L.) Tendril-climbing, subdioecious woody vines with long internodes. Leaves are simple, alternate, palmately lobed to a different degree. The tendrils are either continuous, opposite very leaf, or lacking at every third node.  Flowers are unisexual, in cymose-paniculate inflorescences. Fruits are a soft, pulpy, juicy berry, many of them sweet and edible. 

Campus data: Abundant everywhere in the wild, not cultivated on campus. A number of species are present. Further work is needed to identify and document them separately.
