Acalypha villosa Jacq. (syn: Acalypha flagellata Millsp.); y'ax ch'ilib tux

Forest understory shrub, usually with a few sparsely branched thin stems no more than a few meters tall. Leaves are broadly ovate with long petioles. Flower spikes are elongate, lax, with flowers well-separated. Capsules with long pedicels.
