Chamaesyce hypericifolia (L.) Millsp.

Herb with milky sap; stems glabrous, erect, often red; leaves opposite, simple, oblong-elliptic, margin toothed; flowers minute, clustered into cup-like cyathia; cyathia borne solitary in the leaf axil and in dense, nearly leafless glomerules constituting lateral branches; cyathial appendages petal-like, 4, white to pink, each with a minute gland at the base; capsules glabrous, generally widest below the middle.
